Blanc de Bouscat Rabbits
Blanc de Bouscat History
The Blanc de Bouscat originated in France around 1906. It is believed that the breed was created by crossing Flemish Giants, Angora rabbits and Argenté de Champagne. The albino offspring of these crosses were bred together to create a breed of pink eyed white rabbits.
The breed has been shown at international shows since 1910, but it was not recognised in France until 1924. The breed is extremely rare outside France and although it is recognised by the British Rabbit Council (BRC) it is not recognised by the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA).
