Marburger Rabbits
Marburger History
This breed was developed in Germany in 1916. Marburgers were created by crossing Vienna Blues with Havanas. The offspring created were then crossed with light coloured black Silvers to create the Marburger breed. This breed was important in the development of the Lux breed.
The Marburger breed was officially recognised in Germany in 1920. This breed is only popular and well known on mainland Europe with it being almost unheard of elsewhere.
These rabbits weigh between 2 and 3.5kg.
