Sachsengold History

This breed is very similar to Thriantas, apart from the Sachsengold has a slightly less warm toned colour coat. A German breeder from Röhrsdorf, Germany is given credit for creating the Sachsengold. Many rabbit breeds were used to create this breed. The breeds used were the Tan, the Havana, the Chinchilla, the Silver, the Harlequin, the New Zealand red rabbits and a number of non pedigree breeds with yellow coloured coats.

Sachsengold rabbits have a stocky build and weigh in between 2 and 3.5kg.

Sachsengold rabbits are gentle by nature but also very inquisitive.
