If you’ve bought a Qute Hamster Cage, it has a hamster food bowl as part of the package. Any bowl you buy should be similar to the Qute model - shallow, with a thick rim to prevent your hamster tipping it over or hurting himself as he tries to reach over the sides. Note also that a water bottle and wheel are also included in the Qute unit.
A bowl made for human use isn't a good choice, as it is likely to tip over. This is a big deal if you happen to be smaller than the bowl! So, it's best to buy one using the Qute model - shallow and thick-rimmed, and, equally importantly, easy to clean.
