The Top Entry cat litter box furniture has an anti-tracking platform to prevent loose litter from being walked around your home. Cats can easily jump onto the platform, and step down into the litter liner. That way your cat will then be able to use their litter box in privacy. As they step out and jump down from the litter box, loose litter will fall through the holes in the platform.

Inside the litter tray, the durable and reusable litter liner is held in place by a strong retention band which clicks firmly into the rail guide at the side of the litter box. This way it can’t be pulled down by your cat. Pull back the anti-tracking platform to scoop out used litter, or slide out the platform completely to lift out the litter liner for a deep clean.

What size cat is the Litter Box Furniture suitable for?

The Maya Cat Litter Box range is suitable for cats and kittens of all ages. However, elderly cats with less mobility may find the Maya Enclosed Cat Litter Box easier to use. The Litter Boxes are all suitable for cats weighing up to 13 lbs; larger cats may find them uncomfortable to use. If you’re concerned that the entry hole in the door is too small for your cat, you could remove the door and use without. However, note the liner could slip out and odor control will not be as efficient.

How long will the Cat Litter Box Furniture last?

The reusable litter liner will last up to a year if cleaned regularly with a soft cloth, but can be replaced if necessary. The activated carbon filter should also be replaced as necessary, around every three months.

Does the litter box have a cat flap?

The Maya Cat Litter Box doesn't have a cat flap and this is not an accessory we currently have available.

The litter boxes are freestanding. However, the Jump In and Jump In with Storage come with anti-tip furniture straps so you can secure them to your wall to prevent any accidents when your cat is jumping in and out.

If you’ve had a cat litter tray before, place the Maya Litter Box in the same place for your cat to become familiar with. Also use the same litter inside which your cat is used to. This litter box has made life easier because we now don’t have litter scattered everywhere. It’s really easy to clean too. Our kitten is indoors at the moment so it gets a lot of use, he seems to like it.

I bought this for my kitten (Maine Coon X, aged 5 months). She wasn't keen on using a litter tray that was placed up on the side, but I have 2 dogs who love to eat kitty litter (yuk!) They haven't even attempted to get into this tray, and Ophelia is using it consistently after a couple of days of suspicion. I left the top off at first but she uses it brilliantly with the top on. Definitely keeps small dogs away from kitty litter. The design is ingenious - I couldn't see how the liner was going to fit until we put it in. The instructions said it would take 2 people 40 minutes to assemble, but my husband did it in 19 minutes, 34 seconds (he took the 40 minutes as a challenge so I timed him lol). Would 100% recommend it!

We absolutely love this product. When putting it together - it was clear that the quality is superb. The cat was not sure for the first day, but expected. Now she is using it no problem. The area around is much cleaner, as the little litter stones are not thrown around anymore after the kitty has done her business. And of course the design is very sleek and doesn't look like a litter box at all.

Wish I’d bought this sooner! This is our third cat litter box since getting our kitten a year ago (the first 2 were different brands) We needed an enclosed top entry tray because our dog would not leave the previous enclosed cat litter tray alone; even though it was cleaned twice a day he managed to steal cat stools 🤢 This one is absolutely purrfect - looks great, has excellent functionality, and best of all, keeps the dog OUT!!! Great for a small house

We live in a small house with two cats. Due to rehoming they are indoors for 4-6 weeks, so we knew we'd need a decent litter situation to keep smells contained when we're all in close quarters! The Maya tray is great; it was easy to assemble with clear instructions, and the cats are very happy using it. As they hadn't been using an enclosed tray in the RSPCA cattery, we started by having the whole liner outside the box for a couple of days, than half in, then fully in with the door open, and then closed (the process took a week). They adjusted without any issues and seem perfectly happy using it. We're happy because it isn't smelly - thanks to the charcoal filter the smell doesn't gather at the top of the box, so no issues for them or us when we open it to clean it. We check it 2-3 times a day as multiple cats are using it, and the tray is easy to slide in and out once you've got the knack although it would be tricky if you have limited arm mobility or sore joints (you have to squeeze both sides together and lift the back a bit). It looks perfectly good in the room, and has a plant on top to further disguise it!
