The cube cost more than I ideally wanted to spend but after much deliberation and research I decided it was the right product for me....and thankfully it was (I also purchased the extra 1M run). The customer service was good and I was grateful the product was set up by the 'omlet' delivery man. The cube is completely manageable for one person to move (my hens get fresh grass every week). Cleaning takes hardly any time at all and my 2 hens seem very happy. I feel that 4 hens is the maximum I would want to keep in this size run

This took about 3 hours to put together but we were very pleased with it, it's extremely well made and designed. I wouldn't keep more than 4 chickens in it though.

Our Eglu Cube and 4 chickens have been the highlight of our schools year! The delivery driver was extremely helpful, he set up the cube very quickly and was able to answer all the questions we threw at the poor man. Our chickens settled in immediately and are still visited at every possible moment by the girls during break times. They love feeding them lettuce, collecting the eggs and naming the little critters was way too exciting! The design of the Eglu is brilliant and makes cleaning it very easy. Thank you very much for all your help and advice since delivering our chickens.

I've had my cube for a couple of months now, and I totally recommend it to anyone thinking about buying one. I must say though that I don't have the run, because my hens are used to more room. I bought it because we've had an ongoing problem with red mites, but ta-daa!!! it's true - there's nowhere for them to hide in the cube, and I haven't seen a single one since it arrived. It's so much easier to clean than my old wooden house, so the hens are much healthier. My only gripe, hence the 4.5 out of 5 score is the ladder. The hens find it slippery. even when it's dry. I've solved this by winding gardening twine around the rungs, but until I did this, they found it tricky getting in and out. A good product, which I'm hoping will last longer than either of my old wooden houses, highly recommended.

We already have a classic eglu and wanted to get more chickens, the cube is great, our chickens seem really happy with the additional room, although we did have to put a wooden step beneath the ladder as one of the chickens hurt its leg jumping down.

My original cube is orange, but I much prefer this green one as not only do I think the colour is better but it is much darker inside so I find the hens don't wake as early as the ones sleeping in the orange one. Very good product, easy to build, did it myself! Also so easy and quick to keep clean. Oh and even after 10 months of keeping hens in the orange one there is not a red mite in sight! Great!

Fantastic compared to what is currently available, however, a few little simple design changes would make it an excellent product. Firstly, the wheels currently leaves marks and wear out the grass. This would be avoided simply by making the lever track (the space the levers move through to pull the wheels up and down at the back) slightly longer so that you could pull the levers up off the ground when at rest. Secondly, Im always anxious that the chickens will escape when I change their water and feed. If there were some separate small doors above where the water and feed were located (similar to many bird cages but secured with pins) then it would make this job much easier. Thirdly, I find it hard to move the eglu around. There is nothing to hold onto at the back and I don't want to apply too much pressure at the front wire as I feel it isn't strong enough and may bend or become misshapen over time - especially when the ground isn't smooth or the wheels are in a slight hole (because of the pressure they exert on the ground -see problem number 1 above). A couple of handles at the back that are made out of very strong plastic (like the cube itself) would be really helpful. Apart from the above I think it is an excellent product and well worth the extra money spent. Makes chicken keeping easy. Thanks! Rachelle
