I bought my walk in run last November costing just under £1400 with accessories to keep my hens safe from a badger and to follow rules on the threat of Avian Flu. My hens are safe from the badger but not wild birds, who can get in with ease through the larger upper mesh. As the run is 6m x 3m it is going to be some effort to use mesh to keep the birds out. Something I hadnt anticipated when buying it. Omlet have been helpful in informing me that Avian Flu is not a problem at present and that I could have read the Q&A's which told me wild birds could access the run. Thats number 12 on the list. The last advice I got was to put chilli flakes in the hen food as hens don't notice the taste but wildbirds do. Oh dear.

We were going to go with the galvanized steel cheaper frames but after seeing a few Omlet runs on Instagram we decided to pay the premium price and bought a 2x3 run. It was really easy to put together once you get the hang of the clips and panels . It feels safe and secure for our 6 chicks.

We originally purchased a big box store coop and had to zip tie the entire thing wrapped with chicken wire hundreds of times over and over. I had cuts and blisters. I could kick myself for not getting the Omlet walkin run. I thought saving some $ was the way to go but after comparing the set up on both theres no way I'd get anything other than an Omlet walkin run. There's no lost space. I don't hit my head when I walk out from the middle of the run and the wire mesh is heavy duty!

Does it’s job

Very happy with our Omlet run, highly recommended these, easy to put together looks great with the wood chip down and the clear covers are great.

I love omlet products and this walk in run does not disappoint. I really wanted the huge one, but live on a hill and my back garden is bush land. It was a matter of fitting what I could between the trees. Even though there is a noticeable slope, I still managed to make a secure run. That’s one of the great thing about these designs—they adapt. Was super easy to put up and now my gorgeous boys will have a lovely new Batchelor pad to move into when it’s time to seperate them. Great study design and love the fact that you can extend, so can build on the space you have.

This was a spluge but very worth it! My husband and I were able to put this together with the Omlet YouTube video tips in 2 days or about 8 hours. The hardest part was the double clips for attaching the skirt, which took some dexterity that was tough in cold temps - the rest was easy peasy. Our chickens LOVE it and we love knowing that our pets have an added layer of protection from the elements and from predators.

We have the Eglu Cube and 6 foot run and it just wasn’t enough PLUS I have back issues so getting inside was difficult. This pen is a great addition! We built it in an afternoon plus, in our garage. Getting it to where we wanted it required 4 adults, two large boards, a trailer and our Gator. Moving it should be interesting. Moving forward, Omlet should change the lower bars’ spacing because it’s difficult to put the feeders/waterer on and take them off. BUT, I can walk in and take care of the hens, and they have plenty of room! The doors and panels are great quality!! All in all - I’m loving this addition!!

I bought the rally walkin enclosure because we have just moved to the country side from the town. Chickens moved with us. They had a large wooden walkin enclosure in the previous house and the run of the top garden. The fox didn't bother them. Unfortunately we have moved to a place where everything wants to kill them. Badgers, foxes,weasels etc. The fox almost had a one a couple of times and once literally by a whisker the chicken side stepped him and I was luckily standing a couple of feet from her. I got this enclosure quick. I bought online but unfortunately when I clicked to buy I realised i had my old address on the account. I called up the phone was quickly answered and the lady luckily set it right in time. She said if I hadn't called straight away she would not have been able to stop it. I did have a problem with the order coming in two batches. The staff where always on hand to help me. Like I said a bit tricky to put up and it did take us most of the day, but we'll worth it. Strong sturdy and the fox although I see him everyday don't bother with them. I am sure he has tried to get them. But they are all present and correct.
