Can I connect my run to the house?
Yes, with our Catio Tunnels you can create a way for your cats to move between the house and the catio whenever they want. Choose your entry point and build a tunnel to the run.
It is possible to attach the catio straight to your house, but we don't currently offer a ready made solution for this, so make sure your speak to a specialist to make sure it's done safely.

Do I have to have the anti-tunnel skirt attached?
No. The anti-tunnel skirt comes with all runs, whether they be runs for chickens, rabbits, or cats. You can choose not to attach it or remove it whenever you want.
Can I place the door anywhere on the run?
Yes, the door can be positioned anywhere on the enclosed outdoor cat runs.
Which size outdoor cat enclosure should I get?
The size of run you need depends on how many cats you’ve got, the size of your cats and how much time they are spending in the run. Always aim to give your cats as much space as you can. I have a very uneven lawn, can I still use the Outdoor Cat Run?
Yes, you can secure the skirt of the Outdoor Cat Enclosure to the ground with Omlet’s screw pegs to make sure there are no gaps.
Can the run be moved?
It is possible to move the run, but due to the high quality materials even the smallest runs are relatively heavy. If you decide to move the run, we suggest asking for help from at least one other person.
How high is the door?
The full height door is 5 ft. 11.2 in.
Are outdoor cat runs for indoor cats only?
No, there are a number of reasons why you might choose to have a catio. You might have a cat that normally roams freely, but will need to be supervised for a period of time due to illness, injuries, pregnancy, risk of theft etc. An outdoor cat enclosure is a great way of letting them be outside, while still keeping them safe.
Can I attach an Eglu to my Outdoor Cat Enclosure?
Yes, all Eglus can be connected to the large outdoor catio with a connection kit. For the Eglu Cube and Eglu Go UP, the Eglu must have a 6 ft run in order to attach to the run.
How can I extend my run?
The run can be extended to two sections high and at least five sections wide. There is no limit on how far the run can be extended lengthwise. If you want a run that is wider than 3 sections, please contact our customer experience team. It is only possible to extend a half height run height and lengthwise, the width is limited to two sections.
What are the dimensions of the mesh?
The lower half mesh is 0.9 x 2.9 in, and the upper half mesh is 1.9 x 2.9 in.
Can I keep kittens in the catio?
Due to the size of the mesh you may need extra protection added to the top half of the run if you want to keep a kitten or very small cat in the catio, like additional mesh or cat run covers. The need for this depends on the size and breed of your cat, as well as their willingness to climb. Please make sure you supervise your cat while they are on the catio, especially as they are getting used to it.
Can I replace the horizontal support poles of my 9 ft wide run with the Freestyle poles?
Yes, that is possible. However, one of the purposes of the support pole is to slightly push the roof up to make sure rain doesn’t gather at the top of the run and put too much pressure on the roof.
For runs without covers this isn’t a problem. If you have covers on the roof of your run and want to swap the support poles for a Freestyle pole, place the pole as close to where you had the support pole as possible, and make sure water runs off the cover as it should once assembled.
If you live somewhere likely to get heavy snow fall and have covers on your run, we suggest keeping the cat run support poles.
Do the run panels have a new design?
From April 2023, the panels of the run come in two pieces, attached together with run clips. This is to reduce packaging and to keep shipping costs as low as possible. The stability and integrity of the run is unchanged, and the assembly process remains the same, the new design just makes it quicker and easier for the product to be shipped straight to your home. This catio is the real deal. We tried a few others before the omlet but nothing else compared in quality. I have a "doggy door" flap in the back of my house that leads right into the catio. My 4 cats can go in and out as they please. They love it!

Catio Run & Enclosure
Could not be happier with our Omlet Catio. Our boys absolutely love being able to get outside and enjoy the fresh air.
One of our boys was straight out and investigating, navigating the tunnels to the main enclosure. Our other boy a little more cautious in his adventures took longer to make his way out but has now found his freedom as well.
For the Catio size we ordered as well as the extra tunnel sections and porch etc came in a grand total of 24 boxes, which were all flat packed and some were heavier than others. You will need plenty of storage space for when they arrive. All of the boxes were labelled so you knew what was in which box. The main issue we had was needing the space to be able to get to all of the boxes at the same time for building the main Catio enclosure, as there were pieces you needed as you went along that came from just about every box. We would have to say that the delivery itself through DHL was challenging, whether this was DHL being their usual selves or the challenge of the sheer number of boxes we don’t know.
The manuals that came were very useful and showed how everything could be set up, even for sized and items we didn’t have, which has been a little inspiring. Though took a little time to get your head around exactly what you were being asked to do which lead to a couple of false starts for construction. Particularly for the porch which wasn’t particularly clear. Be ready for some sore fingers if you’re planning on putting it up all at the same time as the clips which were excellent, were also hard going on the fingers. Perhaps it would have been beneficial to have received the instructions for everything separately so we didn’t have to hunt the boxes for them.
The construction although daunting initially was in the end, simple and we managed to construct the 9ft by 12ft structure including porch in a day. The tunnels, towers and window box were very simple and connected together well. We chose to construct the tunnels separately to the main enclosure due to time. The tarpaulin which we also ordered was very simple to add and provides excellent rain and sun protection.
The entire system together works really well and it’s excellent exercise for our boys. We are most definitely going to be looking into extending our enclosure and possible putting in some extra tunnels to new adventure areas.
So happy that our boys now get to enjoy their outside space, and we get to enjoy it with them. Our boys were originally outdoor cats and had been for many years but after the number of horror stories we heard about what had happened to other people’s cats, including them being poisoned we decided to make the change to bring them indoors. Now with our Omlet Catio they get the safety of being “indoor cats” with all the benefits of getting to be outside.
Would highly recommend Omlet catios to anyone.

3 x 2 catio
Ordered the 3 x 2 catio for my two indoor cats. They love it but I think they will like it more once they can’t access it themselves. Going to extend and attach to my house so they can go in and out as they please. I have a tuxedo and a bengal, both indoor cats but I can tell they want to go outdoors so this is a good idea especially with bengals as they have a lot of energy and want to play a lot and to stop your indoor cats from getting bored. Hopefully the fabric platforms come back in stock soon as this will make the catio so much better for my cats to run and jump around. Once I have attached and extended the catio to my house I will share more pics. Only downside I wished the height could be extended as my window is really high however I will do some DIY for this so my cats can access it through the window.
