I'll Never Be Without a Whippet - Love, Love, Love! - Geri,

I have been fortunate enough to have 3 whippets in my life and hope to never be without one. Super smart and loving, this breed is simply great for anyone who doesn't mind an indoor dog (since they have a tough time in extremes of temperature - hot or cold - due to their low body fat and super thin coat). I found that my whippets tended to choose one main person in the family to "be theirs." So, you gain a shadow if you are the "chosen one," lol. They need to stretch their legs at least once a day with a good sprint. This done, they usually head right back to the couch. My whippets like to please and learn words and phrases. Many people think my dog reads my mind, but we just have a language that works :). Unfortunately, adopting whippets in need of a home in the USA is nearly impossible -- though it seems there's an abundance of whippets needing homes in the UK. I've striven to always try and find an adult whippet in need of a home, not a puppy. And this has been a challenge. As many know who adopt adult dogs, the rewards are great, so I keep on trying <3.

THE MOST SWEETEST BREED - Saxon,

I have two female whippets. They are loyal, loving, mischievous, lazy dogs. Amazing with my SEND son who can be rough with them at times. I wouldn’t ever have another breed now. Whippet mum for life x

Whippets - Joanne,

I have a fabulous whippet his name is Mordecai. He is the sweetest most loving dog in the world. Very friendly with other dogs brought up with 2 cats who he loves always eager too please. Loves being spoilt loves beds and sleep. Runs in enclosed field extremely fast I found clicker good for recall and he wears a racing muzzle when off the lead as he can try to take other dogs down like prey just his nature. Best dog ever with children, old, disabled . Love him too bits
