Frequently Asked Questions

It comes in five boxes, labelled A to E, to be built in alphabetical order. The run and wheels come in additional boxes. Our ‘How to build’ videos will guide you through. It’s a big coop and may take some time, so invite your friends and order pizza in. The result is well worth it!
Due to its size, the Eglu Pro could topple if on wheels without the counterbalance of a run. Therefore, we can only supply wheels if you select a run attached to your coop.
Yes, you can connect your Pro to an Omlet Walk In Run using a connection kit. If you want the coop attached directly to the run, use this kit, and if you already have a coop run on your Pro that you want to attach to a bigger run, use this kit.
The nest boxes are always divided into three, and need to be closed manually.
Our 6ft Perch fits across the Eglu Pro 9ft Run at a diagonal.
The Eglu Pro wall panels are the same as the Eglu Cube, with dual panels to trap air and insulate the coop, making it suitable for year round use.

REVIEWS FROM the expertS

Eglu pro ambassador jeremy

The Eglu Pro was the ideal choice to accommodate our growing flock. It has a spacious design (honestly, the Eglu Pro is HUGE), yet it is so easy to tractor around. Our favorite features are the new ladder design and the larger, easier to access nesting box. The Eglu Pro was easy to assemble, has a premium feel and is easy to maintain. And it is tough enough to stand up to predators and bad weather alike.

The three nesting box sections give our hens plenty of room to spread out comfortably to lay their eggs. The larger sleeping area and roosting bars perfectly fit all 9 of our large breed hens (Rhode Island Reds). The double wall insulation and Lux panel are perfect for winter months in New England to protect against the wind chill. And the new adjustable vents will help airflow in the summer!

As an accidental chicken owner, the Omlet line of products has been such a great investment. They are easy to clean, maintain and allows me extra time to spend with my flock. My flock is clean, happy, and such a joy! The upgrades in the Omlet Pro allow me a little extra room for my chicken math!

The larger chicken coop
Kassie,
It’s together, but not in use yet. This is my second coop. Was wondering if you have a heater to go inside I saw the space on the inside when assembling the coupe.

Hi Kassie, thank you for your review, we hope that you will enjoy using your second coop. We do not offer a heater at the moment, however, feel free to use this spot to install you own system. We stay at your disposal for any further information.
Just Wonderful
Kayla,
My review is simple, we love everything about this coop and the 9x6 run we attached to it. Was it a pain to put together? Yes. Was it worth it? Also, yes! I love how easy this is to clean and overall maintain.

Eglu Pro - 3 months in
Sonja,
I've had the pleasure of owning an Eglu Pro for 3 months. Assembly was super easy, thanks to the detailed instruction booklets & videos. I was able to do it alone, and I'm a short, post 60 y/o, woman. Being short helped when climbing in and out during assembly. The run was also easy to assemble, but don't expect all of your fingernails to survive the process if you do it by hand. A pair of smooth jaw, flat nose, pliers came in handy squeezing the clips. They're not hard to do and require minimal pressure, but the pliers gave my fingers a little relief. Customer service was top notch pre and post sale, and I was very, very, pleasantly, surprised. There were two parts damaged by the carrier and Omlet replaced them right away. However, please note that packaging was exceptional in detail, labeling, and protection. The Eglu Pro is a breeze to clean, which was my main reason for purchasing it. We've had stick built coops in the past and this one eliminates all of the problems associated with them. Things I would change: Stronger welds on the skirting - I've had a couple detach, and uniform support on the corners. I received 4 identical corners, so the vertical support is on top for 2 and bottom for the other 2. I would also like a hatch, incorporated on the side panel, to access the ladder for removal and cleaning. Fantastic ladder, btw! Lastly, if you're short, you'll have to spread your wings a bit wider to reach/grab the handles to move the tractor. It's doable, but slightly awkward. The tractor turns on a dime and even an old lady can do it.

The Eglu Pro is perfection
Alyssa, Texas,
Perfect is really the best way to describe the Eglu Pro. From its size - not so big that it can’t be maneuvered with its wheels and handles, but spacious enough for a larger flock - to its features. The triple-slot nesting box is amazing, as is the closing mechanism to keep hens out overnight. The “window” on the front is something I never knew I needed, but not only does it give hens a sense of what time of the day it is, it makes the coop feel so light and airy! The removable nesting area and roosting area trays slide seamlessly and are simple to clean. The ramp is just the right angle, and doesn’t need to be removed when the wheels are engaged to move the coop. The interior panels have labeled areas for things like the coop light (which fits like a glove), a web cam, and other accessories. This wasn’t my first Omlet build, and while I was intimidated by the size, I was able to put the Pro and the attached 9 foot run together by myself in a couple of afternoons! My Eglu Cube is amazing, but the Eglu Pro is a coop that I just can’t do without. It’s big. It’s beautiful. And it’s the best coop I’ve ever had!

A Masterpiece of a Coop
Diana, South Yorkshire,
My husband and I have been bitten by the chicken bug and, after many, many months of research, we saved and purchased the Omlet Eglu Pro chicken coop with the auto door. It took us about two days to put it together and we've both been truly impressed by the quality of its components, the overall precision, and the flawless design. It absolutely feels like this coop will outlast us and probably our successors too. If there were a Nobel Prize for chicken rearing supplies, Omlet would get it! Our 6 Ladies were delivered a week ago from a reputable UK poultry supplier, where they had never used elevated perches or ladders before. And yet within 3 days, all of them instinctively took to the coop, started climbing the ladder in the evening and coming down in the morning without any extra encouragement from us. This truly stands testament to how well thought this coop is, if it appeals even to a large, typically non-perching breed such as Brahma. I've not had the chance to do a deep clean just yet, however it's quite obvious that the coop is easy to clean and maintain, and our Ladies seem to sleep very well at night, despite the neighbours' dogs barking, local cats fighting, rain pouring down, and worrying gusts of wind. There's no rainwater infiltration, and the coop is well-ventilated without being draughty. It is genuinely impressive. So, in a nutshell, yes, this coop may cost more than our American-style fridge-freezer and our washing machine combined, but it is 100% worth it from every point of view. It's an investment that will make chicken rearing a modern-day delight rather than a hassle. Take it from someone of particularly high standards in everything. :)
