Wood be gone … best hen house ever
We bought the Omlet Eglu Pro in November 2024.
It has been 100% a positive experience.
My situation was for eight years I had been buying the cute doll house chicken coops made out of wood ( if you can call it wood). In that time a single purchase from Omlet would have more than halved my costs… and saved a lot of problems for my chickens.
I actually have no negatives to share and believe Onlet is the first business that has set me in a positive path.
My more detailed thoughts follow:
- ordering was simple and communications effective and as needed.
- the product arrive within 7-10 days ( we have a bush property so are regional).
- it took my husband and I around six hours to build, I assisted and he did most of the work.
- the instruction manual was brilliant and clearly made and designed by engineers who know how to communicate.
- I sent my oldest chicken up in the evening first and she stayed the others all followed it was pretty cool
- we had a massive mite infection from the wild birds which I. The biggest reason I dumped the cute wood chicken doll house for something practical. This part is pretty cool as the mites had no place to hide, we sprayed the tray under the hen house and they all went down looking for a place to hide and basically died. The problem is not going to come back as the wood coop was the breeding ground for the problem introduced by the the wild birds .
- the hen house is very easy to clean and more sanitary then the wood coop.
I am sold and regret the wasted years with wood just because I wanted a pretty doll house for my chickens.
Thank you Omlet so much for being there and to your engineers for the design and an end product that is extremely well considered.
You listened and designed!

Eglu Pro fun
We purchased an Eglu Pro after already having 4 Eglu Cube, due to our never ending growing chicken families. My husband erected the Pro in only 3 hours. No need for a pizza and a party, the instructions and the supply of good fasteners really helped. Plus having some prior knowledge helped. The chickens love the Pro. It’s super easy to clean, made very robust, love the side door, and the larger wheels. By far the best investment.

The best coop yet!
We have been lucky enough to own a few different versions of the Eglu as our flock has grown, and the Pro is by far the most impressive with all of its features. We love the upgrades from the Cube (although the Cube was perfect for us as well) such as the adjustable vents, upgraded egg port door and the sun light to bring extra light into the coop. If you’re considering upgrading from one of the other Eglu’s or looking to switch things up from your wooden coop - you’re in the right place!! Highly recommend.

The larger chicken coop
It’s together, but not in use yet. This is my second coop. Was wondering if you have a heater to go inside I saw the space on the inside when assembling the coupe.

Omlet response:
Hi Kassie, thank you for your review, we hope that you will enjoy using your second coop. We do not offer a heater at the moment, however, feel free to use this spot to install you own system. We stay at your disposal for any further information.
Just Wonderful
My review is simple, we love everything about this coop and the 9x6 run we attached to it.
Was it a pain to put together? Yes.
Was it worth it? Also, yes!
I love how easy this is to clean and overall maintain.

Eglu Pro - 3 months in
I've had the pleasure of owning an Eglu Pro for 3 months. Assembly was super easy, thanks to the detailed instruction booklets & videos. I was able to do it alone, and I'm a short, post 60 y/o, woman. Being short helped when climbing in and out during assembly.
The run was also easy to assemble, but don't expect all of your fingernails to survive the process if you do it by hand. A pair of smooth jaw, flat nose, pliers came in handy squeezing the clips. They're not hard to do and require minimal pressure, but the pliers gave my fingers a little relief.
Customer service was top notch pre and post sale, and I was very, very, pleasantly, surprised. There were two parts damaged by the carrier and Omlet replaced them right away. However, please note that packaging was exceptional in detail, labeling, and protection.
The Eglu Pro is a breeze to clean, which was my main reason for purchasing it. We've had stick built coops in the past and this one eliminates all of the problems associated with them.
Things I would change: Stronger welds on the skirting - I've had a couple detach, and uniform support on the corners. I received 4 identical corners, so the vertical support is on top for 2 and bottom for the other 2. I would also like a hatch, incorporated on the side panel, to access the ladder for removal and cleaning. Fantastic ladder, btw! Lastly, if you're short, you'll have to spread your wings a bit wider to reach/grab the handles to move the tractor. It's doable, but slightly awkward. The tractor turns on a dime and even an old lady can do it.

The Eglu Pro is perfection
Perfect is really the best way to describe the Eglu Pro. From its size - not so big that it can’t be maneuvered with its wheels and handles, but spacious enough for a larger flock - to its features. The triple-slot nesting box is amazing, as is the closing mechanism to keep hens out overnight. The “window” on the front is something I never knew I needed, but not only does it give hens a sense of what time of the day it is, it makes the coop feel so light and airy! The removable nesting area and roosting area trays slide seamlessly and are simple to clean. The ramp is just the right angle, and doesn’t need to be removed when the wheels are engaged to move the coop. The interior panels have labeled areas for things like the coop light (which fits like a glove), a web cam, and other accessories. This wasn’t my first Omlet build, and while I was intimidated by the size, I was able to put the Pro and the attached 9 foot run together by myself in a couple of afternoons! My Eglu Cube is amazing, but the Eglu Pro is a coop that I just can’t do without. It’s big. It’s beautiful. And it’s the best coop I’ve ever had!

A Masterpiece of a Coop
My husband and I have been bitten by the chicken bug and, after many, many months of research, we saved and purchased the Omlet Eglu Pro chicken coop with the auto door. It took us about two days to put it together and we've both been truly impressed by the quality of its components, the overall precision, and the flawless design. It absolutely feels like this coop will outlast us and probably our successors too. If there were a Nobel Prize for chicken rearing supplies, Omlet would get it!
Our 6 Ladies were delivered a week ago from a reputable UK poultry supplier, where they had never used elevated perches or ladders before. And yet within 3 days, all of them instinctively took to the coop, started climbing the ladder in the evening and coming down in the morning without any extra encouragement from us. This truly stands testament to how well thought this coop is, if it appeals even to a large, typically non-perching breed such as Brahma.
I've not had the chance to do a deep clean just yet, however it's quite obvious that the coop is easy to clean and maintain, and our Ladies seem to sleep very well at night, despite the neighbours' dogs barking, local cats fighting, rain pouring down, and worrying gusts of wind. There's no rainwater infiltration, and the coop is well-ventilated without being draughty. It is genuinely impressive.
So, in a nutshell, yes, this coop may cost more than our American-style fridge-freezer and our washing machine combined, but it is 100% worth it from every point of view. It's an investment that will make chicken rearing a modern-day delight rather than a hassle. Take it from someone of particularly high standards in everything. :)

Very happy
I purchased the Omlet instead of building my own and I’m happy I did. It took about 3 days to build the pro which felt like a long time but I’m sure it saved me a lot of time compared to building my own. I’m very happy with the quality and features….I know it’s going to save me a lot of time and energy caring for my chickens.

I feel safe again HONEST REVIEW
I love my omlet pro. After a terrible incident with a racoon I felt heart broken and helpess. I started searching for coops and the omlet popped up. A little out of my price range as a single parent but my chickens safety is priceless. Saved up and finally got their new home. The shipping was super fast. I ordered on a Thursday and half arrived Saturday the other half Sunday. It did take me 8 hours to put together. But I also live in central Florida where the heat is unbearable. There's a video you can watch also for step by steps so charge your phone lol. No issues with set up at all. This thing is strong. It can hold my weight leaning and trying to tighten everything. I was amazed. I purchased the auto door and light. Thr only negative I have is it gets very very hot inside. If you live in Florida where it easily hits 100 by lunch you will need a fan. Unfortunately the pro is designed for a fan but they have not released one yet. So if you think you can put this in the sun and be okay your chickens will not go in it at night. I put a camera inside and they were panting and standing all night. I put my head in and immediately started sweating between the heat and humidity in the air. I did purchase a cheap desk fan and used an extension cord and put it inside the omlet and everyone was laying down and sleeping finally l, dreaming in the breeze. Just want to give that warning to anyone purchasing in the south. You're going to want a shaded area for sure. Other than that, this is the awesome. So easy to clean so durable and strong. I plan to buy another one next spring.
