The Automatic Chicken Coop Door with Coop Light is AWESOME! I should have ordered it when I first ordered my Eglu Cube a year ago. It works wonderfully, was easy to install, easy to program, and my chickens don't mind it at all! I'M FREE TO SLEEP IN ON THE WEEKENDS!!! Truly a blessing! Well worth it! You won't be disappointed! NOW DO IT! So freeing! Thank you Omlet for another well made product! I look forward to buying another Eglu Cube with the coop door and light...as soon as I can twist my wonderful Hubby's arm gently!

Bought this recently - mainly to make it easier to have the odd night away but actually have also found it great on a day to day basis. The optional light comes on five minutes before the door shuts in the evening which seems to encourage any that are still up to head up to bed. The light goes off immediately after the door closes which settles them down nicely. Because our run is covered, we find it easier to set to times rather than to daylight; it is easy to set. The auto door is great as often we are out to work before it is light so we can put the food in and then leave the hens safe until the door opens. At the weekend we can have a lie in because the door will let them into the run - they have water and we just pop the food in when we get up. This also has the benetit of keeping the house cleaner as if we are a bit late up they are not pooping in the house. The only downside we have found so far is that sometimes the rooster plonks himself in the doorway and refuses to move- in this case , the door will try to close a few times but if he stubbornly refuses to move the door will default to open. He is getting better at going in so we are hopeful that he will get the hang of it like the hens have. Usefully the display panel shows the battery status but it is not running down quickly despite the rooster doing his best to use it up. We deliberated for quite a while before getting the auto door but we are very glad we did. It isn't cheap but it works well. Omlet in our opinion sells great quality products and customer service (should you need them) is second to none.

We have had the automatic door attached to a non-omlet coop for over a year. We have it set to sun up and sun down. It has worked great, even in freezing Michigan weather. And we still have 50% battery. One of the screws came loose once and hindered it from working, but after tightening the screw, it worked perfect again. I recommend this for everyone.

The door works but there is a learning curve. I was also disappointed that I had to purchase a bracket to mount on my eglu separate. My only other criticism is that you have to do a lot of unscrewing to get to the batteries. I hope they get a solar option someday. But once you work it out, it is a quality product

We love this auto door. We set it to time as the dunrise and sunset, due to location of unit did not work very well.what I wish, is that we didn't have to unscrew the unit from the wall in order to change the batteries. Very inconvenient and should reconsider design. Otherwise, it's great.

Installed this in my Omlet coop about 3 months ago and it works flawlessly. Opens at daylight and shuts after dark. No issues with trapping the birds in the door or birds getting left outside. Seems to run forever on the 4 AA batteries. Best purchase ever for making chicken keeping easier.

I love my auto chicken doors it makes life so much easier ! I set my with the time setting and so far it has been great for me ! I would recommend if you want to make sure no chickens get locked out that you set it a little after dark . It’s military time but if u need help i just watched a video online and it was really easy after that.it makes me feel a little better knowing if I’m home after dark my chickens will be shut up.i would definitely recommend this product!

I bought this earlier this year, it works great for my chickens and ducks, never had any issues with it, even during the freezing last week. I would warmly recommend it.

The charge on these lasts a LONG time... I haven't had any issues with it, beyond getting bedding in the gaps and the door opening and closing a few times. It's worth putting this a bit higher up and having a ramp to get up to it (although the chickens can probably hop up fine too- it doesn't need to be THAT high). I've tried all of the modes and it works great. Automating my farm work has made life SO much easier for me. And it's better for petsitters when we go on vacation.
