Installed the green auto coop door a couple of months ago but been a bit slack in writing the review. Excellent pre-sale information from the parent UK Omlet team. Advised not to insert coop door into the steel wall due to sun on metal heating & warping door. Fully comprehend this as the shed roof with our solar pool heating reaches 46C in summer! Retro-fitted the door using the aperture where the external egg laying box was located. (The girls didn't use it for laying especially after a large eucalyptus branch fell & left a large dent in it!) Using AAA marine grade plywood, painted & sealed attached to the supporting struts of the metal wall. Easily followed the instructions & video to put the Omlet door into the plywood & works a treat! (see pictures)

So happy I talked my husband into spending the money on the auto door. We did research on others and this one was by far the best!

Everything is working great with the door. My only issue is the size seems small… but the chickens aren’t complaining so I guess it’s fine.

These are as good as it gets. We just installed our third one on our ever expanding chicken complex. The chickens have no issues using them. Best safety features we have seen. Great battery life, reliable, clean design and easy to program. We tried others, but nothing is better! The others either lack safety features, are over complicated, are hard to program or cost more. Omlet doors are the best value out there, we will add others as our flock and coop/run grows. Thank you Omlet!

Easy install. If you buy with the rest of the coop install after putting the side walls and nesting tray in. The long screw for the light gave a little bit of grief, but went in eventually.

This is great and works as described.

We have had the door for about a year. Batteries lasted all of last summer and read 80% in November. I changed the prior to winter, there at 80% now mid April. The cover on the controller should be clear. It blows open in heavy wind, need to snap closed better, but, with it open I can see the display light up from the house 70ft away. This tells me if there was a problem closing which has happened several times from wood chips building up. If the cover is closed, I would have never saw the display lit up and would not of known the door was stuck open. It has never froze, has never malfunctioned besides wood chips in door way. Great product. Clear cover with better snap would make it a bit better.

I've had my chickens safely tucked in at night. The omelet is a great boom to the girls being safe at night. It works like expected. Change batteries about every 3 months to make sure it works every day.
