After the purchase of two Omlet Automatic Doors, I've found them to be a good investment. The timed settings option is great to allow owner to set entry and exit times for a coop and run. However, once the mechanism is plugged with something (straw, dirt, etc.), the door is most difficult to clean and clear. I strongly suggest an update where the door can completely be removed to allow better access to the track for cleaning.

What a treat to know the chickens will be given access to their pen, or secured in their coop, even if I'm not available to check on them each morning and evening. I was particularly grateful the past few mornings when a bit under the weather, as well as when weather itself is a factor. We have the pen covered so even during an intense rain, they still like to venture out! Do note that there is a 20 minute delay after the unit hits it's recorded light measures to avoid a mishap should a car light or cloud cover temporarily affect the reading. I didn't read far enough into the directions at first, so was confused as to why the door wasn't opening even though the light reading had been reached. Great product, highly recommended! My engineer hubby was impressed with the construction!

Read alot of reviews on different doors, and chose omlet. So far I love it, worth the money so far. I'm more so interested in how it holds up through a Minnesota winter. I will update my review next spring.

I bought this automatic chicken door due to a youtube site I watch. They bought one and recommended it. Its my 3rd automatic chicken door. So far this door meets my satisfaction and my chickens are safe from predators. Easy to install and is working up to my expectations.

Straight forward, easy to install, clean design. Only comment: the screws for the wooden frame were undersized/the pilot holes were too big. But we have plenty of extra screws, so no big deal for us.

I am so pleased with all my Omlet products and so are my chickens.

After much research, I decided to purchase this automatic door for my newly built wooden coop. I am so happy with my purchase. It works flawlessly and I am impressed with the different ways to program this door. My chickens approve of it too. I definitely recommend this door to anyone thinking about purchasing it.

I have been using this door for over a month - never fails. It shows the battery usage which is great. It allows for several settings to close door to customize to my usage. I love that the light sensor can be positioned away from door. It has an override close/open feature. This was my second door I tried (the last one failed within days) - this one never fails. I did not like assembling the product but in truth it was an easy assembly and took only a few minutes. And I like that it can be plugged in (with adaptor) - so I have an option if batteries fail due to cold in winter. I have had no problems with this door in anyway - what I would hope and expect when buying such a product. It has lived up to all my expectations.
