Egg-calent quality Chicken home
Valerie,
I am very pleased with the quality of the Eglu, we lost 4 hens to a fox the day before we got their new home, but the remaining hens and Mr Cockerel, are now forever safe thanks to their new Eglu. They went straight into it like nosey chickens do and seem to like it very much.

Brilliant but the instructions are a nightmare
Nic,
I bought this product after a lot of thought as they’re not cheap. I love the product, easy to clean, chickens are secure and love it. However the instructions are not as I’d expect. The brochures are glossy and there’s so many of them! And of course there are the videos. It is too much information but with no cohesive set of rules about how to build. I think the instructions really let the product down. Eventually I watched videos and used one of the many instruction books I had. I think they are trying to cover too many bases and languages and as a result lost me. Anyway, I love the product and as you can say, hate the instructions. I have heard from company that they are reviewing and condensing instructions so that’s good news.

Great but you need a Phd in flat-pack assembly
Sophie,
Once up, this eglu cube with 2m run is a sturdy piece of kit and our hens seem very happy in it BUT.. at nearly £1,000 we really feel some sections of it could have arrived already assembled or indeed, that Omlet should offer an assembly service. The assembly booklet is over 60 diagrams long! Our views are that it is; *a two person job. * one of you needs to be physically quite agile as to assemble certain parts you have to get into small places and (at least in our case!) repeatedly need to climb over a 70cm bar. * have experience of complicated flat pack assembly The hardest part is fixing the wire mesh to the bottom section of the stand (for us, the bit under the hutch and with wheels). Once all set up however, it is robust, easy to move and as said, our chooks like it. OBSERVATIONS: 1) be handy if the wire poles (or the hooks) that close the run mesh doors were in a different colour. I’m getting on in years and struggle to see what i am doing esp. at dusk. 2) a hatch/small door would be handy under the stand at the other end of the run so that we can reach in and get a chicken that won’t go to bed! 3) the pull out tray catch is very flimsy and i cant see it lasting the test of time but all good at the moment. In summary, a good product but not easy to assemble.

hen paradise
John,
we needed to look after grandchildren 6 hens for a month!!! Instead of trying to refurbish the old hen house and run we decided to go eglu as one of our daughters already had the small one in Newcastle and loved it. First night in operation hens went straight up steps to bed, 2 eggs next day and have been very happy for a week now. No doubt when hens go home we will get a few more ourselves... Eggcelent product.

Many good points- ladder doesn’t work for Brahma.
Liz,
We’ve only had the cube in place for 4 days but I’m really pleased with how easy it is to clean out the droppings everyday, collect the eggs and move if needed. The auto door is much better than the design we had on our last coop. The one improvement I would suggest is providing different options for the steps/ladder. Our Brahma cannot manage the steps and we spent Sunday having to build a wooden ramp so she could get into the coop. Providing customers with different options would make it a more accessible design for chicken keepers with bigger breeds. Other than that, very happy and with the new ramp in place, they are all happy with the cube.

Boxwood House Approved!
Boxwood,
With forty acres to manage and five kids in tow, Boxwood House wanted something low-maintenance that could withstand the elements and protect our Pilgrim and Guinea Fowl from predators. With the rising cost of lumbar and our harsh winters, we really didn’t want to even attempt a DIY A-Frame, that would need constant annual repair and not be nearly as aesthetically pleasing. These igloos are sturdy and should last 5 years+. We also like that they can be rolled away in our barn during heavy snows. Our fields have rolling hills, so we recommend purchasing the handles for easier transport.

Perfect home for my hens
Mary, Kildare,
My three rescue hens have the best home, ever, thanks to their fabulous new Eglu Cube and 3m run. The coop is large, warm, and secure, and the run gives them so much space while protecting them from predators.

An amazing investment! We love it!
Tamara, North Carolina,
We first bought the eglu go-up and were super impressed with everything about it. We ended up with more hens than we thought ( we thought some would be roosters....no, ALL hens! ) So we then bought the Omlet Cube. We love them both, they are predator proof, warm, dry, easy to clean, easy to access! Our chickens are safe and happy and we are loving the fun interactions with them and of course the delicious eggs! Omlet for the win!

Love this coop
Robert,
We have raised poultry for 50 years. Wood coops have always been our choice for our birds, but they can be a pain to clean and after a year or two the wood begins to rot because of the nature of chicken manure so we decided to try this one out. It was easy to put together, easy to move, and is very easy to clean. We are using it for 12 Old English game bantams and could not be happier.
