It's great for the small brood keeper, you can put it anywhere, in the coup, out in the run or just in the garden if they're completely free range like mine, it's keeps the food dry and only shows the birds a small amounts at a time.

I was skeptical at first, but I purchased the insulated waterer and regular feeder. After thinking about the mice we have in our barn in the winter, I purchased the smart feeder. I have set the time to open at 6 AM and close at 8:30 PM as we are approaching the longest days of the year. I have a camera and right on the minute, the door is open and shut when programmed. I am loving it. I no longer fear rodents getting into the chicken feed as our coup is inside our barn.
