We have four large chickens that provide eggs for us. The Omlet feeder is great because it saves us from putting out and putting away chicken food for our chicks. In cold weather the batteries doesn’t last that long but long enough to make life with chickens easier! We have had this feeder for a few weeks so we don’t have a huge experience. It’s helpful that when linked to wifi I can tell when I need to refill the feeder and when it’s open I would recommend this feeder as it makes life easier!!

Before buying the Omlet waterer I went through 3 different types of waterers for my chickens. One would tip over (chickens trying to roost on it). Another type would constantly grow green slime on it, even though I cleaned my waterers once a week. All of the waterers had a problem with temperature control, especially in the summer. After buying the Omlet waterer I found that, when cleaning the waterer, there is no slime, no mildew, and the only dirt on the waterer is the dirt that the chickens may put in the cups from their dirty beaks or from scratching near the waterer. I have also found that the water stays very cold!! This summer I plan to put frozen water jugs (water in milk jugs) into the waterers when the temps reach 100’ F, so my girls can have cold water 24/7. I love it this will save on food opens at sunrise and close s at sun set it has been a little hard for me to set it to my phone but I'm sure its just me and technically I can't wait to order the water and then save for coop. I'm sold on Omlet products

Saw this on Chickenlandia as a new product and bought one immediately. This feeder is truely no waste which means also a huge money saver on feed. It's phenominal! It's been two weeks since install (placing on the ground) and filled. I thought the see through window to check the food level was not working. Barely any food has been used. The way it works is great! The design only allows approximately 10-15 pellets in each section (I counted them) at a time and are automatically replaced by gravity when eaten. This is plenty of food for my chickens. I think I can go a month without refilling, we'll see. My chickens can't torture me anymore with purposely picking out food and creating a pile on the ground for the rats. Speaking of rats, haven't seen one in two weeks. It's fun watching the automatic doors open and close on my chicken cam. I am going to try the 3 gal insulated waterer. Maybe Omlet will send me one for free in exchange for this awesome and honest review. Thanks Omlet. BTW, your smart door is also a phenominal product.

This feeder was something I needed when I first started three years ago now I have less waste of food and I know that at night there’s no critters getting in it. I love it because I don’t have to go out in the morning and make sure they have enough food and I don’t have to worry about it at night with anything getting in and eating their food or attracting mice. I am seriously thinking of getting my second one as I have 16 chickens and that would eliminate having to put the two extra feeders in the run with food and worrying about the mice coming back. I’ve had the feeder now I think a week no problems and I just have it automatically opens when it gets light and closes when it’s dark as my Internet won’t reach that far.

It was a long wait for this product, but it was definitely worth it! I thought my girls might take a while to get used to it, but no they were using it more or less straight away. I encouraged them by putting a few treats in each cup and they got the idea. They seem to enjoy using this feeder more than the standard Omlet bowls. I suppose it is closer to naturally feeding on the ground, rather than in a bowl. The best thing of all is that I no longer have to worry about the feed spoiling and getting damp or attracting rodents. A couple of little quibbles - as usual the Omlet instruction booklet is hard to follow (although it is actually simple to set up, the booklet makes it confusing!). Also, when the I tried (out of interest) to manually close the doors using the button, the doors stayed open but the coop automatic door (which was closed for the night) re-opened!! I am wondering if having the two devices close together is the reason for this. Anyway, it works fine on the light sensor and I've had no problems with it. It does seem expensive until you get it, it is a very robust piece of kit and clearly a lot of research and development has gone into it. Well done Omlet!

We have changed the cups to nipples on both of our drinkers,after having no joy with the nipples at first. We had 1 with cups and they simply drank out of that one. Here is the secret of success,we sprinkled mixed corn around each nipple after pressing nipples and wetting them.From not using them,as soon as they saw the 2 or 3 bits of corn around nipples,within 5 minutes,the lot of our 8 amber stars,were drinking away I was so relieved, problem was solved minutes and there drinking away,fabulous.

I love this little feeder so much. I bought it mostly to ease my mind when going away on vacation. I have tested it out for about 2 months now and have had no complaints. Battery is still at 84%! I do feel a bit weird leaving it in the run all the time to be honest, I get worried if rodents could chew through it if they really wanted to so I might not use it all the time, but so far have had no issues with rodents. It consistently opens and closes when I have it set. The only thing I do wish is if there was a harder way to set it to “manual” mode as my chickens themselves I believe have done it themselves twice so far by pecking at the button. Wanted to also add that it lets you know when food is getting low too and I love that! It’s been very accurate.
